Q:  Who is First Financial Bank?

A:  First Financial Bank is a community bank that is a wholly owned subsidiary of First Financial Banc Corporation headquartered in El Dorado, Arkansas.  The Bank currently has six retail locations in Union County, one retail location in Little Rock, one in Mena and two in Mississippi.  They are one of the nation’s leading poultry lenders, and also offer mortgage loans, specialized lending for pharmacists and veterinarians, and a nationwide farm and ranch lending division.   They currently employ 324 people and have assets of $1.06 billion.  For more information, you can visit their website at www.ffb1.com

Q:  Can customers bank at both banks?

A:  Not yet.  The First National Bank of Wynne and First Financial Bank will continue to operate as separate banks until after the transaction closes and the bank systems can be merged.  This process will take some time, so for now – it’s business as usual for both banks.

Q:  What will change on my accounts?

A:  Nothing will change until the transaction closes and we are able to convert the banking systems, which we anticipate will be in the 2nd quarter of next year.  First National Bank of Wynne customers will receive information in advance from First Financial prior to any changes to accounts.

Q:  Do I need to do anything right now?

A:  No.  It is business as usual. You should continue to conduct business at your usual bank locations. We will communicate with you as the merger progresses and more information is available.

Q:  Will my account number(s) change?

A: Your account number(s) will not change on your deposit account(s) with this conversion, including checking, savings, CDs, and Money Market accounts.

Q: How can I get my e-statements from my FNB online banking after conversion?

A: We recommend that your e-statements be archived to your personal computer, tablet or smartphone and we will provide additional information closer to conversion in April.

Q: Will I have to change my Direct Deposit?

A: No, we will take care of any direct deposit through ACH.

Q: Will my routing number change?

A: Yes, your routing number will change at conversion in April 2020. We will provide additional information closer to conversion in April. Right now, it's business as usual.

Q: Can I use my FNB Checks?

A: Yes, you can continue to use your FNB products and services as always (including checks and debit cards).

Q: Will you continue to offer MASCOT debit cards and INSTANT ISSUE debit cards after conversion?

A: Yes, both will continue to be available.

Q: Will interest rates and fees increase?

A: Similar to FNB-Wynne, First Financial Bank will be competitive. First Financial competes successfully across the state in their retail markets and across the country through their specialty lending niches.

Q: Will service turnaround time be impacted by no longer being a locally owned bank?

A: First Financial Bank lends across the country and over the years have developed processes that consistently meet the expectations of our customers. They are sensitive to the turnaround time of services and will provide the same level of service to out of area locations as they do locally in El Dorado.

Q: Will you continue to offer Agriculture Loans?

A: Certainly, that is one reason why FFB is such a good fit. First Financial currently lends on the ag side across the entire country and has a dedicated division focused on Ag lending. As a reference point, FFB leads the country with FSA loans (Farm Service Agency) in dollars originated and is 4th in the country in number of loans. FFB should complement our ag portfolio nicely and offer additional products for our customers.

Q: Will I continue to have Overdraft Privileges?

A: Consumers will have overdraft privileges, however the limits will most likely be different. For now, it is business as usual. First Financial Bank also offers a Fresh Start program for consumers who are unable to repay their overdraft immediately that should be available in the second quarter of 2020.

Q: Will I have to change my Direct Deposit?

A: No, we will take care of any direct deposit through ACH.

Q: How can I get my e-statements from my FNB online banking after conversion?

A: We recommend that your e-statements be archived to your personal computer, tablet or smartphone and we will provide additional information closer to conversion in April.

Q: When can I start banking at First Financial Bank locations?

A: It will take some time for both bank systems to be merged, but we plan to be operating as one bank April, 2020. All FNBW customers will be notified prior to any changes taking place.
